Community Building

How We’re Building Community

At the heart of the Bahá’í Faith is a vision for a world where people of all backgrounds come together in spirit, friendship, and service. In Benicia, our community building efforts are rooted in the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh, which guide us to nurture spiritual growth, foster unity, and contribute to the well-being of our neighbors.

Our community activities are designed to strengthen bonds between individuals and families, empower young people, and create spaces of collective worship and reflection. Through these programs, we aim to cultivate qualities such as love, justice, and collaboration in everything we do.

Devotionals

Devotional gatherings bring people together in an atmosphere of peace and reverence. Open to all, these gatherings feature prayers and readings from the sacred writings of the Bahá’í Faith and other world religions, encouraging reflection, unity, and spiritual renewal.

Children’s Classes

Our children’s classes are joyful and nurturing spaces where young hearts and minds are introduced to spiritual principles such as kindness, truthfulness, and generosity through songs, stories, games, and creative activities.

Jr Youth Programs

Junior Youth Programs help adolescents build confidence, moral reasoning, and a sense of purpose. Through study, discussion, and group service, young people discover how to apply spiritual principles in everyday life while growing in character and community engagement.

Adult Programs

Adults in our community engage in study circles and service projects that deepen understanding of spiritual teachings and encourage meaningful contributions to the common good. These gatherings strengthen friendships and inspire action toward collective transformation.
“So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth.”
